Limoncello like it used to be

Santo Stefano is our hometown in the Aveto Valley: it's only fitting that we call our Limoncello, produced with more lemons than the minimum quota established by the Consortium for the Protection of Sorrento PGI Lemons. This is why it's so fragrant and rich in essential oils: you'll taste the difference right away.

As great Limoncello enthusiasts, we don't miss a thing: while we wait to be able to produce our own exclusively with lemons from the Ligurian Riviera, we use the peel of PGI lemons from the Amalfi Coast, macerated in alcohol.

Useful information

A mini-guide to curiosities about our products
  • Santo Stefano Limoncello is best enjoyed chilled , served straight from the freezer in small glasses. The low temperature enhances the lemon zest aromas and its natural smoothness, making it perfect as a post-meal digestif.

  • Yes. Santo Stefano Limoncello is made through a natural infusion of selected lemon peels , following an artisanal production process that preserves the purity of the citrus aromas and the balance between sweetness and freshness.

  • For Limoncello di Santo Stefano, we use PGI lemon peels from the Amalfi Coast , selected for their intense aroma. The recipe calls for a quantity of lemons exceeding the minimum quota established by the Consortium for the Protection of PGI Sorrento Lemons , a choice that makes our limoncello particularly fragrant and rich in essential oils. The result is an intense, fresh, and highly expressive citrus liqueur.

  • Traditionally, limoncello is served after meals as a digestif , but it is also perfect as an ingredient in summer cocktails, citrus spritzes, or to accompany desserts and pastries.

  • The name comes from our hometown, Santo Stefano d'Aveto , in the Aveto Valley, in the Ligurian hinterland. We chose this name to pay homage to our roots. In the future, our goal is to produce limoncello exclusively with lemons from the Ligurian Riviera , but today we use the peels of PGI lemons from the Amalfi Coast, macerated in alcohol, to ensure an intense and authentic aromatic profile.

  • Santo Stefano Limoncello is ideal for creating fresh, citrusy cocktails, such as:

    • Limoncello Spritz like our MEDITERRANEAN BAR with prosecco and soda
    • Lemon Tonic with tonic water
    • Lemon Sour with lemon juice and ice

Its aromatic intensity makes it a versatile ingredient for mixology.
